- Doug here,

-
- Here's the spec so far for the BSS accelerator:-
-
- OSC: 32MHz 36MHz 40MHz 48MHz 50MHz
-
- Bus 16 / 18 / 20 / 24 / 25
- CPU 16~32 / 18~36 / 20~40 / 24~48 / 25
- FPU 32 / 36 / 40 / 48 / 50
- DSP 32 / 36 / 40 / 48 / 50
- Videl ?? / ?? / ?? / ?? / ??
-
- The user chooses an oscilator which suits them / their machine best
- and plugs it into the board. The rest is software controlled. It is
- also software switchable back to a 16Mhz Falcon. We may support several
- oscillators on the board at once, but the min spec is for a single
- interchangable one. The aim is LOW PRICE!
-
- The main goal is to achieve the following min spec:
-
- Bus: 24
- CPU: 24
- FPU: 48
- DSP: 48
- Videl: 48
-
- In order to achieve 640x480 VGA truecolour cheaply.
-
- The price is set at under 30 UK pounds for current owners of
- BSS software, and also for purchasers of the future Apex 3.
-
- I think the price will be 10 or 20 pounds more for non BSS
- customers. I'm not sure of the exact details yet.
-
- > Have you tested Bad Mood on it?
-
- We are only just building the prototype today!
-
